      Very Unclear Dreams

Hello to all, my names joseph and I receantly found this website looking for information about lucid dreams, i read tutorials and such and asked many of my friends to tell me what their dreams look like... Most of them told me their dreams are as clear as their waking life. I myself have dreams that are very unclear; most of the time my dreams are in third person and i have never recalled remembering a dream that was actually clear, and i usually remember most of my dreams. Is this just because of lack of dream recall or is it something else? Was wondering... so if anyone can help me out...?

Glad you found the website logik Welcome to Dream Views

Firstly, its never good to compare your dreams with other people, they are always going to be different, just becasue yours are un-clear doesnt make them any different to dreams that are clear. I think you have an advantage because most people dont dream in third person.

There is a great section on the site about "Dream Recall", the information should be helpful.

If you need any information, just ask the members, we are all helpful (most of the time)
"I was looking back to see if you were looking back at me to see me looking back at you".

Hello Joseph, and welcome to DreamViews!

It's kind of hard to say why your dreams do not seem clear to you. Personally, my dream clarity varies from very fuzzy to very sharp. I find that when I'm working hard at recalling my dreams, they seem to be more vivid, but I don't know if this would be the case for you. You say that most of your dreams are in 3rd person -- none of mine are like that.

Do you keep a dream journal? If not, that would probably be the best way to start, as it will improve your recall (even if it's already pretty good), and it's possible that it may help you increase the vividness your dreams.

Perhaps practicing MILD techniques with such thoughts as "I will have vivid, clear dreams" would help as well.

In any case, I hope you stick around -- there are lots of good people and much good information to be found here.

Just curious, Myst, why do you feel that's an advantage? It seems that most people I've spoken to that only dream in 3rd person think that it's harder to go lucid from that perspective -- although I guess I could understand that being recognized as a dream sign.
