I am completely new to this and by no means should my response be taken as completely true, but from what I understand, if you have a lucid dream there should be no problem of you remembering it. I know a friend who has had a lucid dream, and he said there is no way he could have forgotten it because it was so vivid and controllable. You may have just experienced a great dream, but being lucid in a dream from what I understand means that you are actually conscious inside your dream, so remembering it shouldn't be a problem.

Once again, I am completely new to this, I just figured I would give my opinion since you have no other replies yet.

Well, during off-times of particularly poor recall, I've had a couple lucid dreams that I could barely remember more than that I had been lucid. I would say, although lucid dreams are typically easier to remember, I could certainly see someone with not-so-good recall not remembering one.
