How can i be sure that this, that im living now isnt just a.

How can I be sure that this life, that im living now. it all isnt just a lucid dream??
and that im just so used to not knowing it or something that a simple reality test cant assure my subconcious, conciousness that this is a dream??
ive been seeing, hearing things ages ago when i was a kid.. and now that ive been getting interested to all this they seem to have started again... i see weird things and hear things...
      its weird..

so does anyone have a way that i can assure myself that this isnt just a dream?
to those who've dreamed another life or whatever. can you dream when youre in the dream? that might explain the absense/the complete no dream recall thing...

nah dont worry, no offense taken.. i sometimes question my sanity too...
sometimes i really feel weird.. thats when i write my best songs/ paint my best paintings.
so finding lucidity is kind of a huge relief.. i can get IN my head literally...

it'd be weird though..to just think 'this is real life' and like.. just wake up and woah.. WHAT A DREAM just out of the blue...

Good question. Sometimes i think i am insane too because on many occasions i have been convinced that the world is nothing more than a collaboration of what everyone thinks it should be like. In other words, life could be like a dream in that if you could 100% believe something is true or possible (because nothing is truly real), without a question of a doubt, then it would be possible... Though i usually get over that feeling in a little bit, it really makes me wonder. I am interested in lucid dreams mostly due to my interest in Buddhism, religion, and finding an ultimate truth. I really don’t know what the world is like or if there is anything beyond, but if there is a whole religion devoted to going beyond this world and finding the truth of the universe, to me, its worth a shot. I just started taking a dream journal a few days ago because i had a lucid dream the other night in which i discovered i was dreaming, and tried to use that to my advantage, and it worked... until i got distracted and fell back into the acceptance of the dream. The world is pretty much the same way. What if we just accept that this is the way the world is, and that the only things truly possible are what we see and know on the face of this planet? This idea fascinates me, and makes me wonder why something so absurd in a dream can be so real. Could this reality be nothing more than the samsara of worldly possessions, and something that we just accept as the truth due to living here? Anyway, i am totally with you when you say that we can never know for sure if the world is a lucid dream of its own. Keep up with the art, and try to keep on to that thought. If people get too involved in this world, i am convinced that it is usually for the worst. Perhaps this lucid dreaming will bring us another step towards finding what is really the truth about life? Who knows...
