Question : Did i WILD?

Hey guys,

I have tried the WILD technique a few times. Every time i tried it i did it in combo with a WBTB. It has never worked as i always seem to fall asleep to fast. BUT!

Some strange things happened to me like 3 nights ago. I woke up by my self in the night, always when i do this i remember i wanna wild.

So i changed positions until i was super comfortable. Then i started counting my breathings. Every time i exhaled i would count "1, I am Dreaming. And then it went on until like 70 or something.
After a while my throat suddenly swallowed. It feel surreal. Like my body was not my body . I cant explain it, I got shit scared and woke up and said wtf was that?

I RC then i i calmed my self and continue with my counting. After a while i felt like a was "here" and then "there". Like i was floating in and out of reality.
Then suddenly my fricking arm moved by it self. ALOT! Like there was someone holding my arm and moving it. This time i woke up and said fuck this.

I aint going through this shit no more. I went to the toilet and RC. I was so scared but there was at the same time this curiosity of what would happen if i just continued with the counting. So i went back to bed and started counting again. This time the fricking throat thing happened again BUT i managed to calm my self during it happened.

Then the weird shit started to happen. I started hearing white noise. Louder and louder. After a while it was so loud that it was like i was in a concert.
Suddenly i saw flashed of pictures of family members and random stuff go by my eyes. Because i read about this part i did not pay to much attention to them and i managed to keep my self calm.

The fricking noise started to change into music lol? ( Is this suppose to happen?) The pictures stopped and i was in total darkness. I could hear the music loud tho. But it was good music so i felt happy hahaha. In this complete darkness i saw a dot. It was a purple dot but it was so tiny.
I started to concentrate on this dot and then it started to pull me against it. I felt my "soul?" leave my body and enter this tunnel of purple light.
It almost felt like i was in a roller coaster.

But not round and round type of roller coaster. Just down. It was not super fast tho. Normal speed. I shouted "WOOOO" like 2 times and when i did that i could feel my sleeping body moving its throat . Strange. I remember there was a light at the end of the purple light tunnel . When i came close it felt like there was a dream. I can not say for sure because i have never felt anything even close to this.
When i was coming closer i suddenly woke up. I had to go and pee....... OMFG!

So! My question to you guys is , Did i ALMOST WILD or wth was that? was i in the "in between"?
I tried doing WILDS all night after that but i managed to just fall asleep.

Yeah, you were very close to WILDing. All that crazy shit is HI/HH which is taking place during the transition from waking life to the dream state. It can be freaky sometimes, but you just have to realize that it is all just hallucinations and everything will be ok. You did a good job and nearly made it into the dream state. I think you may have gotten a bit excited toward the end (on the roller coaster part) and it could have been what kicked you out. Nice job though, and just keep practicing. It will get easier and easier the more experience you gain. Good luck to you!

Interesting that you mention the rollercoaster part. A couple of years ago, I was lying in bed, pretty relaxed with my eyes closed when I felt a huge surge of white light. Even with my eyes closed, all I could see was white as I recall and I felt like I was on a rollercoaster, it was pretty fun, but, eventually it stopped. I opened my eyes and I was still in my room :cheeky: I'm starting to think that my case like yours was an accidential WILD(in my case), although I think you were closer than me at having a LD, GL :)

The same thing just happened to me last night.. like i felt like i was "here" and "there" just as if i was floating in and out of reality. And also my throat was doing the same, I'm guessing my body was asleep while my mind was still awake, and that was my body's natural reflex to swallowing at night.. It scared me at first too, but i just kinda let it happen. And i heard noise too, like a loud ticking that got faster and faster, but i got scared and my heart started beating really fast so i kinda just snapped out of it.. but then attempted again and what not.. But yeah I think both of us are getting somewhere! haha (:

Thanks for the replies guys/girls.

Il continue my path on the wild attempts. Its nice to see a community where everyone is helping out and no one is judging or anything. I mean come on, i spell my words wrong all the time but you guys dont mind it and just keep on topic... I feel glad that i came to this community as my first stop to lucid haven.

King yoshi: So what you are saying is calm the F down when things start to happen ? I will take your advice and try not to get so scared next time. Something tells me that fear for the unknown is our greatest barrier one must pass. Thanks for your advice.

Bigfan : Have you tried inducing a WILD ? Because It seems that you had the HH. Although accidental it maybe can help you on your path to WILDing,( Thats assuming you wanna WILD( . Because if you can remember the feeling you had during the white flashes then maybe, just maybe you can try to go there again and induce a WILD. What i have learned is that this WILD technique is all about feeling. People posting their guides on how to is there way of trying to explain the feeling one must have in order to WILD. Then once again what do i know? I havent even had a proper WILD yet hahaha. But thats just my 2 cents.

Surukien : I read what you went through and i must say... This sounds almost exactly what i went through. I learned something from you, next time i see the image i will try to visualize my arms and try to reach the end of the tunnel. Maybe that will help me to go even further.

OmgErika : Strange feeling the floating in and out huh hahahaha. I have a question about the noise tho, Could you control what kind of sound you heard? I didn't try it but something is telling me that maybe you can? I was thinking back to when i started hearing the white noise then i remember thinking of a more pleasant sound and then i was in the tunnel with the music. But i don´t know if that happened because i wanted it or if it just happened for some other reason. But i would like to you to try something if you want, i think it will help you the next time you hear the ticking noise. When you start to hear the ticking noise don´t pay to much attention to it and start to hear your own music instead. Maybe it will change or maybe it wont. Its worth a shot? So instead of waking up you will feel that you wanna stay in the "inbetween" so you can enter a dream? You never know... Once again i am in no way an expert on this type of things but i hope i can help in some way. I'm gonna try and investigate some more regarding the different phases one goes through once i am able to do it at will.

I like that idea.. Of trying to make the ticking into a different noise.. I shall try that the next time it occurs (: haha to be honest.. I just told myself it was a cat playing with a clicker.. But goodluck to you too!
