      hi everyone I am new

Hi.I am so excited to have decided to make an account.I have had lucid dreams before, after much internet surfing. They are so amazing and fascinating to me.Sometimes I just look around in a completly normal situation in a dream and say "I am dreaming."So weird.I have a question:I remember this dream I had when I was like 4 or 5.I was on top of the world(literally) with bugs bunny. Then I said goodbye to bugs bunney and decided to jump off(back onto a place on the earth). So I jumped, and fell right into my bed.The weird part is that when I hit my bed,my real body like I fell from above into the bed.It jolted me awake. It doesn't sound neat, but it was so amazing. What was this feeling? Was it like me regaining conciousness(sp) or something???

This happens to me a lot too, especially when I am falling asleep in class. You are doing something scary or dangerous in your dream, and right before you get shot, killed, fall and hit the ground, etc... you jolt awake. Your brain is doing this because of the extreme anxiety involved in the situation. And believe me, it's embarrassing to be stared at by the whole class right after you flew out of your seat. This is so real to your mind, that you also may feel like you landed on something because of how tense your muscles were the second you awoke. THis is where LDing comes in, and being able to tell the difference between dreams and reality could help me a lot while I sleep in class.
