Thread: Can Lucid Dreams Negate

Bad Karma ???. If every action results in a re-action can becoming Lucid resolve this. Or at least offer a better understanding of why we follow certain pathways.

I do not think that becoming lucid prevents any reactions. Though you may be able to control anything in your dreams, perhaps your actions can still affect your soul or your subconcious depending on what you believe. If any negative steps are taken, then maybe they will prevent you from reaching enlightenment in this lifetime, and you will be reencarnated and forced to live samsara yet again. Though most here probably dont agree with me, i think that everyone has a soul which is a peice of the ultimate truth of the uncreated knowlege. If you read past that mumbojumbo, then what i am trying to say is that if you have a soul and your soul is on an alternative spiritual goal just as you have a goal in the physical life, then i can see that any negative things you do in dreams will affect you just the same. Though believe what you want.

Then why are we "entertaining" ourselves with this Frivolity.

I certainly have not been enlightened and been able to let go of my ego entirely... Besides even Buddhists say that you will enter back into your own self afterwards. What can I say, I like to have fun, im just a kid. However, I think that lucid dreaming gives great insight into your subconscious and can be used as a tool for developing higher knowledge. As a former disbeliever in all spiritual aspects I only take in what i think applies to my life in the present moment. What is the point of avoiding living this life, I will let my spiritual self take its course when its time comes... its a long life, stuff is fun! There is time for eternal peace and happiness later, and i will only be able to put all my thoughts and efforts into seeking that when i am ready to.

Hm i just liked the picture, it struck me as funny... Maybe i just dont have a good sense of humor. I guess you just gotta believe me when i say I'm a highschool junior bored out of his mind at 10:30 at night avoiding his homework with his dad asleep in the other room. I just dont act ghetto most other kids my age... too much ego. Hell i hardly remember Clinton and i cant legally buy cigarettes.
