Ii need help with the meaning of my dream

Hi as a small child I lived in a small terraced house with my siblings, and had a regular dream about being in a dark room with dull lights on, and their was a young lad maybe about 11 or 12yrs old, you could tell from his clothing he was in poverty, he was dirty and his underpants were stained. I was in the same room as him, standing up opposite each other and we never spoke to each other, but just looked at each other. Also another dream I had was about a tiny bird in the tiniest cage hung at the side of the bath and the bird was hungry/starving and I couldnt feed it, these dreams were regular through my childhood and I still think of them but they stopped when I was in my teens but had them once or twice whilst I was older im 26 now, please give me an insight to these dreams x
