      An Introduction

I just signed up and wanted to introduce myself

      Hi. I'm Valo. (good introduction...right?)

I'm pretty new to Lucid dreaming. I've known of the concept for a while, i've just never had a notion to explore it until recently. I've browsed the internet reading F.A.Q's and tutorials about Lucid dreaming, and I'm almost getting the hang of it. I started keeping a dream journal about a month ago and My dream recall has improved vastly. I've actually been "lucid" twice. Sadly both times I woke up shortly after. I understand that it takes practice, and so far practice is paying off. I'm definately open to any suggestions or tips that experienced dreamers have to offer. I look forward to becoming a part of this community.

      thanks for you're time

      Hello, Valo, and welcome!

Where does your screenname come from? Why did you choose it? I just wonder because 'valo' is also a Finnish word meaning 'light'. Therefore I think your name is just great.

PS. If you wonder my name, it's only made up from my real name and doesn't really mean anything - least the English word, 'hate'.
Don't think about those damn kangaroos.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the welcome.

And you actually got it right. That's where I got the name Valo. I heard the word come up in a conversation between two college students a few months back and I asked what It meant. I've used it since. I really like the layout and feel of this board, and I'm glad to be a part of it

      thanks again
