Thread: Was I lucid dreaming?

So lucid dreaming was something I've been interested in for a while but haven't had the time to really devote to learning. (final exams will do that to ya!) So last night I couldn't sleep and started to read up on lucid dreaming and went to bed convinced I would have a lucid dream. I woke up and usually my dreams are very clear but they weren't last night although I do remember having a dream in which i thought "hey! I'm in a dream" and got excited but then it faded into a regular dream. This memory is unclear and I'm not sure if I imagined it or not.... any help would be appreciated!

Yeah. I've had that too. I usually dont even remember my dreams, but if I do I just somehow know its a dream. My lucid dream 'memory' didn't feel like it. But soon after it I had one, but that could've been hypnagogic imagery though. Who knows...

sounds to me like you've made the first big step and are well on your way. all it takes now is focus and practice. remember to do reality checks and to look for things that are out of the ordinary, and to convince yourself when falling asleep that you'll have a lucid dream.
