Hello Everyone,
I first stumbled across this website about a month ago when i had a lucid dream after watching the movie "Waking Life". I had to find more information about these dreams that have occured in my life from time to time. Since finding this site I have wanted to introduce myself, but i just couldn't build up enough motivation to do so. So tonight i will let everything go and type the following.
The "Waking Life" induced dream wasn't the first lucid dream i have had, i can remember others when i was a child. Back then it was more like false awakenings, realizing i was dreaming and trying to wake myself up within the dream. In my early teens i would have lucid dreams ultimatly about having intercourse with the first female i saw after realizing i was dreaming. Other lucid dreams involved protecting/comforting loved ones because, as dream characters, they didnt realize they were in a dream world. Recently i have had lucid dreams triggered from a new found dream sign of mine; My friend who lives in Wisconsin, we were interacting with eachother, which in waking life would be impossible because of distance.
I believe i am on the right path to lucid dreaming, joining this forum seems like another great step. I keep a dream journal, reality check and have been practising my own version of the MILD technique. I would like to work on better dream recall, and reality checking, probably like anyone in the first stages of lucid dreaming.
There is no better way than sharing your experiences with others, and recieving/giving help to others when trying to develop something of interest. Already i feel a sense of warmth and welcoming on this site, it's nice.
See you around the forum
Adam
