      First (semi) lucid dream

Well I've just had my first (semi) lucid dream and of course after all of my work with WILD's it would be a DILD that gets me over the line.

Before I went to bed all I did was say, 'I have to have a lucid dream tonight because I have alot of questions to ask myself' (and I really meant it by the way), and then before I knew it I was suddenly awake in my dream.
Thing was that I knew it was a dream straight away because everything was hazy and empty. I basically questioned for half a second and it just came to me, I didnt get excited or anything. All did was want to talk to a friend from high school so I made her, but she was like a holograph (all staticy) this went on for about 1 dream minute and that was it.
I woke up remembering everything and was kind of annoyed because I didnt ask my questions.

Guess I just need more experience in knowing what I want to do.

Thinking back I dont really know if I had much if any control (it all seems like it was scripted now (but doesnt life when you look back at it)) but I know that for the very least I was aware

      Congrats!

Hey a small semi-lucid is better than nothing at all, eh?

I'm sure the next one will be better. DILD after a failed WILD is pretty common and happens to me often as well. It is just another reason WILD is so much fun!

Nice work, Nicko! Often times just thinking about lucid dreaming will help you have them. Just keep at it and you'll have longer, better LDs in no time

One tip I'd offer, though, is to decide what you want to do in your LD before you go to bed. That way, when you become lucid you won't have to stop and think about what you're going to do, wasting valuable time. You'll just know. Anyway, best of luck in your continuing studies
