      WILD question

i tried WILD for the first time last night, and i have some questions pretaining to it.

i went to sleep at 8 then woke up at 1, 5 hours, then read stuff about lucid dreamin for an hour. i went to bed and relaxed did all the stuff i was suposed to. which brings me to my question. i felt the sensation of tingleyness and the paralizarion, like i was moving and flipping around but everyhting was blank, i couldnt see anyhting, just pitch black after what seemed to be a couple of minutes i decided to try to do something make something apear, but when i did this i woke up. i didnt let excitement take control of me i stayed calm but the feeling dispersed. 1 question is when do you actually start to see stuff not just blank, did i not wiat long enough, and also it took like 50 min for the paralisis to set in, is that normal? i felt fairly awake for most the time and it was hard to try to go back to sleep. i have read some places that say to try cafeine to keep you more awake, is there anyhting that can give the oposite effect? i.e. melatonin, read something about this stuff somewhere.

this was my first WILD attempt but i have tried quite a few times to basically do a WILD but before i go to sleep not after i wake up in the middle of the night, it never worked. so i kinda had experience but kinda not.

MaaN, in my own WILD experience if I stay up longer than 20 minutes (or get too involved in something while I'm awake) I have an awful time getting back to sleep.

I normally wake up after about 4 hours or so, get up just long enough to go to the bathroom and then I lay back down while still somewhat sleepy and just focus on relaxing my body while thinking vividly about a scene or an activity (to keep my mind alert).

WILDing takes some trial and error (determining how long to sleep before waking up, determining how long to stay up once you've woken up, etc.)

Keep trying.. I know it can be frustrating but it is so worth it!

      Good luck!
