      Finally, My First LD.

I'm no newcomer to the forum however, seeing as how I finally had my first Lucid Dream I felt I should post as I've been reading through the site for months. I've been trying to have a lucid dream on and off for at least two years now. As I go to work and go to school full time and I'm in a very demanding major I rarely get over 3 or 4 hours a sleep at night so its very hard for me to have a LD or even remember my dreams. With it being summer time I can finally get some real sleep and focus on LDing.

So, A few nights ago I finally had my first LD and it was nice to know that the whole Lucid Dreaming thing wasn't completely out of reach for me. In the middle of my dream ( I can only assume I was in the of a dream as I was crawling on the tops of rafters in an auditorium) I realized I was dreaming. I got really excited and could tell I was losing it so I looked at my hands. I regained control lucidity in my dream but my hands weren't very clear at all... I could always see a couple of my fingers but the rest were blurry. I decided i should probably go outside so from across the auditorium I tore open the wall and went outside. I knew I wanted to fly so once outside I thrusted up into the air. Looking up I could see others flying around in what looked like air highways and when I looked down I could see myself getting further and further from the ground. Everything felt so real, I could feel the wind blowing on my face and my clothes battering across my body. My mind began to wonder while I was flying and when I landed I found myself in the middle of a dream story. There were 3 DCs who were really stealing my lucidity. They talked me into walking around with them and I faded in and out of lucidity and eventually my girlfriend woke me up when she was getting ready for work and I lost it at that point. When I woke up I fought with myself to remember I had a lucid dream and It worried me that I may be having them and just forgetting. So, I guess I need to work on remember my dreams a little bit more.

      Either way...

Wow, interesting story. So I would guess you are in the sciences based on your rating of the major.

Also there is a chance that you have had ld's before and have not remembered them. I think I might have had a couple of ld's before my first official lucid dream that i posted on this site but they were in my childhood. they were dreams about flying that fasinated me greatly.

Keep at it and eventually Lucid Dreams will be part of your regular dream cycle.

      Stay Lucid!!
