      Not quite LD???

I had a very unusual feeling during my dream last night and since I’m not very good at this, I would like your take on whether or not this was a lucid dream…

I was riding my neighbor’s motorcycle up and down my street, practicing turning, stopping, etc. For some reason I was never able to make it up the hill at the end of the street. After trying several times some other people on motorcycles joined me and we all rode up together. At the top of the hill we met a woman walking and a man in a wheelchair. The whole dream revolved around riding up these desert mountain roads up to a huge castle/church structure on the top of the mountain and trying to find the woman and the man in the wheelchair. (Obviously there was a LOT more but this is the jist of it.)

Sooo… in the beginning while I was practicing on the motorcycle, it was like a separate part of me was smiling and watching myself fumble with the controls and thinking that this was an amazingly lifelike dream – everything was crystal clear and very real. However, from the time we ran into the woman and the man in the wheelchair through to the end of the dream I knew that I was playing this dream in 2 different places, maybe like 2 different planes of existence. (?) Not 'de ja vu' at all - I knew I was doing the exact same thing somewhere else at the exact same time.

Has anyone else ever had this happen?
      Thanks!

I don't think this was a lucid dream. Did you know you were dreaming when it happened?

yes, I knew was dreaming at the beginning while watching myself ride. I don't recall now if I knew I was dreaming during the second part because the whole time I was watching the dream unfold I was trying to pin down why I thought I was living it twice.

Were you controlling your actions? Were you in control of your body?

Based on that, I don't think it was a lucid dream. Chances are that it was a semi-lucid dream or just a vivid normal dream. I hope I helped!

Actually if you knew you were dreaming, then it was a Lucid Dream. Controlling a Dream is not the same as having a LD. For example, when I started, I did not have control of the dream, but I still knew I was dreaming.

      I mean

See, if you knew you were dreaming, you were definitely Lucid!
