As far as I know, there are no limits to what you can do in a lucid dream. I'm pretty sure you can do just about anything you can think of, but it takes a lot of practice and patience. I bet you could reconstruct a movie if that's what you fancy. I don't know whether you'd be able to get all the details down. But from my own experience with dreaming in general and with lucid dreams (I've only had a few and they were all years ago), it's amazing how many details are created instantly without even trying. The imagination is an awesome thing to behold. I'm new here too and also like you I haven't been able to remember to do reality checks once I'm in a dream. But I know it's only a matter of time. I'm not letting myself become discouraged and you shouldn't either. The first step is to just become better at remembering your dreams. What I do is record my voice into my cell phone as soon as I wake up. Once you have a bunch of entries in your journal, study it and look for signs that should tell you that you're dreaming if you see them again in the future. In case you haven't heard this already, B6 and Choline bitartrate are both vitamins you can take to help improve recall. Also, I would like to recommend a series of talks about lucid dreaming on youtube. The name of the channel on youtube is stephenberlin. |
