      Whats this

ok, i am somewhat of a dreamer fanatic. My goal in life is unchosen so far, but one possibility is to be a film director, just because I have the most craziest and most creative dreams. Now during a class called "Development and Pre-production"....students had to develop treatments for movie shorts. And one method to be creative was logging dreams. Absolutely NO ONE did it lol. Well anyways long story short....I basically have this ability where I remember every single exact detail of everything, unless for some reason it shows no importance or significane to me.

So basically, lets say I go to bed at 2am... I can sleep all the way til 1pm, wake up for maybe a few and go back to sleep, entering the same stopping point of the dream where I left off at. Now I dont know what you call this, but to me I feel this is lucid dreaming, though I dont know, because im new But whenever I sleep, I am able to create how I want my dream to play out and let it take its course with my mind knowing what it wants in reality, though sometimes I come upon weird and crazy obstacles that are just unpreventable and the dream becomes a nightmare or warning of some sort.

Ah dunno, its 7am, I have insonmia now and its too hot out. So if anyone has any comments, let me know. Because I'd honestly like to know what'd category of this sort of dreaming falls into. But of course, my main intentions are to fully experience LD and OBE's.

PS. Currently I am trying to see if this Neuro-Programmer will enduce me into REM where hopefully I can experience the LD. Anyone ever use this?[/i]

Becoming lucid in a dream is simply realizing that you are dreaming. It sounds like you have a good level of control so perhaps it is lucid afterall.

Well, I know dream control is one of the things people can learn to do through lucid dreaming, but it might also happen in non-lucids, I'm not exactly sure.

However, lucid dreaming itself has more to do with consciousness in a dream - not just the kind of conscious meaning "awake" - but more like "awareness". I've only had a handfull of lucid dreams, but they are enough for me to tell you that they have a whole different feel to them. It not only involves control.

Try this next time: get yourself to say "I am in a dream now". See if anything changes - feeling, perception, etc. Only then you'll truly know you're lucid dreaming.
