Hey everyone! Glad to be here!

Hey everyone, ive been browsing this forum every night for sbout the past week as im trying to have a lucid dream. Not a lot of luck yet. I sometimes have problems with dream recall so ill try a dream journal. Im starting to realise that while dreaming im having ahard time realising that im in a dream. Durring the day ive started looking down at my hands for a reality check but i havent done it in my dreams yet. Im having a very hard timereslising im in adream. I just accept everything it seems. Last night i had a dream i was back in california with my exgirlfriend on the beach durring christmas. Theres no way that could be real i should have caught it, any tips? Ill keep trying and thanks in advance!

Don't be discouraged, a week is no time at all! You'll find that people have some pretty crazy dreams without realizing that they're dreaming. Most of the time, you won't realize it. Until you get really good at it, anyway, but it doesn't happen overnight, you've just gotta keep up the practice. Thinking about it a lot helps, I've only had four since I registered here but I've had a good number since I first learned about it a couple years ago. Just keep trying! And welcome.

Well, I've had 4 since I signed up here at the end of October. In total I'd say I've probably had around 15, spread out over a few years. So far the main things I've accomplished are flying, telekinesis, shapeshifting, summoning people and items, walking through walls, and directing the situation just by wanting it to go a certain way, though I'm still practicing each because I can still improve! I feel you, I used to have really bad insomnia so I would wake up around seven or eight times at least during a night, but at the least you can use it to help you remember more dreams in a night. But yeah, don't worry, it'll happen eventually. Just keep it up. That dream journal will definitely help you, it comes highly recommended. My recall suffers a lot when I don't use one.

Good luck! Flying is really fun. I can't really say decisively about using binaural beats while dreaming or anything, but one time I was using a light and sound device that has LED lights flash behind your eyelids and it creates some really psychedelic, dreamy patterns that put you in a relaxed and meditative state, and it had a binaural beat track going along with it, and I was meditating with it for ten minutes or so and suddenly I was walking around a club I used to go to a lot. It all seemed normal at the time. I saw an old friend of mine and started talking to her, but then it started occurring to me that something wasn't quite right, and when she opened her mouth to start saying something back she and the club around her dissolved back into the intense light patterns and the beats and it stirred me back into consciousness. Crazy stuff!
