      Lucid Dragon

Greetings everyone, my name is Tim and I'm a currently unemployed 18 year old that is looking for work still, and has only recently found this forum through researching kangaroo shoes. As I found this forum though, it reminded me of when I lucidly dreamed frequently when I was younger. I had found the information on lucid dreaming when I was younger and quickly picked it up, even going as far as to own a journal with every dream and experience for 3 years straight. The reason I stopped however was due to stress at my father's house leading to my father burning my dream journal, calling it a waste of time, effort, and paper, and that lucid dreaming was just fantasy nonsense. This crushed me at the time, and even when I tried again the stress made it impossible, which led to me stressing over being too stressed, and I hadn't lucidly dreamed since.

Only today when I saw this forward did all the memories flow back, and I remember almost all of my lucid experiences. Another thing to know about me is that I am currently in the process of writing a series that spans 6 books, and I've been writing it on and off for 10 years now. It all started with a single dream that I might make a topic about one day, but after that dream I got incredibly interested in dreams and stumbled upon lucid dreaming. Since then I have used lucid dreaming as a tool to help me write by experiencing not only situations in my series, but experiencing the super human abilities they possessed as well. In my dreams I have been able to recreate a lot of powers, including but not limited to manipulation of the 4 elements to their maximum potential, flying with and without wings, super speed and jumping, teleportation, telekinesis, armored/spiked body, firing various projectiles from my body, shapechanging, elasticity (weird), and entropic projection.

If you guys have any questions, comments, or complaints feel free ask or tell me. I will try to answer as soon as I can.

      Welcome bestdragon3!

It's sad to hear that episode Lucid dreaming, even if it was useless, provides so much fun, and you certainly don't waste your time when you're having fun. My family also calls me crazy when I say I'm going to meditate or write in my DJ, but I think it helps imagining the amazing experiences they are missing right ?

Glad you found us. People are very friendly here, and it's the best place you could have found to expand your memories and experiences about lucid dreaming (and other things!). Feel free to give us some light about that series you're writing, I'm sure it looks promising by the details you gave so far ^^

Thanks for the warm welcome, and I'll be sure to point out not only my series but the attachment it has to my lucid dreams in another topic. But I can say with all honesty that my series wouldn't be where it is today if it weren't for these dreams, so I want to feel that joy once more. Thus, why I'm here^^

I don't believe LDing is useless whatsoever. In fact, it can help people quite a bit, to me, Lucid Dreaming is the best therapy out there. (Plus it's free!)
You can vent your feelings, you can find inspiration, learn more about yourself, practice asking a person out, the list goes on and on.

Anyways, have fun on DV, it's filled with lots of cool people, and I may be mistaken, but I do believe you were on chat earlier.
      Bai!
