you can say im a dreamer... but im sure as hell not the only one!!

      Hey everybody!
Thought id post a thread since I'm new on this site and don't have any friends yet
I'm in college and my friends always seem keen on the idea of lucid dreaming, but no one actually does anything about it.
I decided to put all the effort i have into mastering this(or at least enjoying it). I'm still working on my dream recall but I'd appreciate any tips or just cool stories and ideas on lucid dreams!!

Hello, and welcome! I can understand the college thing. The day when everyone in intro psych had the lecture on sleep and dreaming.. Everyone is all excited for all of ten minutes and then it's forgotten utterly by most.. But some make it! Like you! Yay! It's definitely worth the effort, and when you finally achieve it, you can show it to everyone who never gave it a chance. Good luck!

My friend took a sleeping&dreams class in college and would rave about how cool lucid dreaming would be (if she could do it). I decided to take matters into my own hands and look it up on the internet. I was shocked to see how possible it is to achieve lucid dreaming- i mean the idea is honestly incredible.
If you've ever played assasins creed, then you are familiar with free running.. this is what i want to do first when i lucid dream.
the first time i had a lucid dream, i woke up immediately.. but the second time was VERY intriguing.. i tried jumping from one rooftop to another and found myself traveling through the air very slowly, almost like there was a lot of resistance. Ever since then, my dreams went from being extremely bizarre/abstract to being extremely realistic and hard to identify as a dream. makes me feel like there is maybe some part of my mind that doesnt want me controlling my dreams- which only makes me want to even more!!

yeah i dont get how people can ignore a completely different reality.. sounds like pretty much the coolest thing ive ever heard. maybe someday this will become something alot more common.
anyways, i see you have performed a surgery while lucid dreaming?! Id love to hear the story of that!

Everyone's a dreamer. Some people are just more... conscious of the fact.
