hi, i think you really need to keep a dream journal...This enables you to notice your dreamsigns, and be able to perform a reality check within the dream.
To begin practising for lucidity, it's advisable that you recall at least one or two dreams a night, more if you can manage it.
You don't say what your recall is like...Keeping the journal will also enable you to recall things more easily, as it trains the brain to make dreaming a priority, therefore you pay more attention to it.
When you've improved your recall, and spotted your dreamsigns, it's time to start performing your reality checks. The best way to begin this is to simply become more aware of the world you are living in, start questioning reality. Ask yourself, 'am i dreaming?' If you see something odd in waking life, question the fact that you could be dreaming. A good unobtrusive reality check is trying to put the finger of one hand through the palm of the opposite.
Also, if you wear a digital watch, check the display, wait a few seconds, and then see if the display looks odd, ie, numbers round the wrong way, or letters instead of numbers. If this happens, then you are actually dreaming, and you become lucid!
I hope this helps, there's loads more stuff i could tell you, but i think you have enough to be going on with!
Let me know if you have anymore questions, and i'll do my best to answer them, if i can't, one of the dreamguides will certainly be able to.
