      Hiho, new guy around.

      Hi everyone,

Let's start by a brief introduction, I'm a 23 years old young man, I live in Portugal (although very likely not for long) I have a degree in management and totally new to Lucid Dreams.

Ever since I remember I've not been able to properly recall my dreams, I at most, remember a couple of dreams from all my life, this led me to actually wonder if I dreamed at all.
Until recently I thought that my Deja'vu were actually dreams I had have in the past, although from what I've been reading around I might have been totally wrong
A few years back I tried to learn meditation as I found it interesting to be able to be totally relaxed and to imagine landscapes but I was in college and ...
I think I might have a hard time in lucid dreaming because I am extremely concious of my awareness, to the point I have a hard time falling asleep every night. I'm also some one who as not exercised memory (either concious or dream related).
Still a while back when I was asked to remember my dreams (shortly after awakening) I was able to do it and it happens to me from time to time to remember I wanted to remember a dream because I had liked it (I still fail to remember the dream though).
I am personally more interested in WILDs I tried it yesterday, I was able to get totally relaxed, although I'm not sure I got to SP, and after like 60-80 min I had this dynamic moving swirl of light in front of my eyes for a few secs, after a while it became completely lighted but then it all became white and eventually I was back to the normal black of my eyelids. I gave up after 2 hours of trying it...
Since I'm a total newbie I would like some advices (specially because of my extreme awareness "problem" and if I should try that dream diary before any thing else).

      Thank you,

      Heaven

      Welcome Heaven

You should try the dream diary before anything else, I was also like you and I very rarely remembered my dreams and then I started to write a dream diary and my recall improved so significantly that I remember a dream almost every night. Also, what is the point of having a lucid dream If you can't remember it. There is a guide here which should help you at Wilding http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/yoshis...chnique-82529/

      Hello!
Welcome, if you are interested in the WILD technique there is a subsection dedicated to helping people out here.
Recall is something we can all work on, I recommend doing some basic exercises in the morning in order to improve your recall.
      1. Lay down for 5-10 minutes and run over in your head what happened in the dream, if you don't remember anything then try to!
      2. Write it down in your DJ

Thank you both for the replies.

I'll go on to make a DJ then, seems important.
