      Question about dream journal

I am happy that I have started my dream journal again. Though it does get annoying to write in it after waking up--I am groggy and prefer to just go back to sleep

I honestly have no trouble remembering my dreams. One morning I didn't want to write in the journal until I was awake with my cup of coffee and had no problem writing down the dream details as I watched TV. My question is then--I really want to start trying to achieve lucid dreams and do I need to then keep my dream journal going to do so? Is it vital to write down all dreams?

Someone had told me that I should first take these steps to dream control very slowly. I should first do a dream journal for at least a week. Then work on lucidity. But can I just start working on lucidity right now?

      Thanks for the help!

well...i don't see why you can't begin working on lucidity...but look at it this way.
It's like a concept, that your brain has to get used to...in my opinion, it takes a while for the suggestion to filter through to your brain, and stay there...
You can perform regular reality checks during the day, keep writing in your journal..
I think the reason they say work on recall for a week, is so that you have enough time to identify your dreamsigns, which will prompt you to perform a reality check when you are dreaming...
      I hope this helps!

Thanks. I will begin to work on lucidity.
I have had a couple of dreams of me saying, "Reality check time" and "is this a dream", but I can feel the blurriness at the time those remarks are made. In other words, I think I am dreaming of saying those remarks because afterwards I don't have any further realization.

Thanks. I will keep at it.

how many reality checks do you think will be effective until I start having LD's? because I tend to do atleast 10 a day and in my dreams I tend to forget to do them and cant seem to remember my dreams really well

10 a day is fine, just keep at it and it'll start to help.
