Confused

I had this weird dream last night. Ok I'm going to bed reminding myself I WILL lucid dream. I'm dreaming (nonlucid) I'm on a street in big city (Like Gothem) and it's crowded and people are just partying and having a good time everyones dressed in 1920's attire. Anyway as soon as I get there people start dispearing into thin air one by one and soon I'm alone in this empty street sad that everyones gone. I look around, theres someone miles and miles away down the street, he's sprinting toward me fast, he's getting closer and closer and he races up to my face and goes "THIS IS A DREAM FOOL" and dispears. I instantly wake up. So was this a lucid dream?

it's only a lucid dream if you recognise that you are dreaming. A similar thing happened to me a while back. I was in possession of a biscuit tin that said 'open to lucidity' on the bottom but i didn't follow the instructions, and i woke up! It does sound like your brain is recognising signs that you are dreaming, the fact that a dream character came up to you and told you you were dreaming. If that happens again, maybe you should perform a reality check in a dream, just to test the truth of what they are saying. By the way, welcome to the board! I know you joined a few days ago, but still, i haven't seen you before!
