Thread: Is it normal to think logically in a non-lucid dream? and..

Is it normal for me to think logically in a non-lucid dream? Like, I analysed the situation, found a way through it, but I still thought I was in reality.
Also,
I heard that when you do a RC check in a dream and become lucid, you need to do simple addition to see if your logical brain is working. What if it doesn't?

"Normal" is hard to define. If it's something you do often, then I'd say it's normal for you. I'm pretty sure that I (at least sometimes) think logically in my non-lucid dreams.

I'm not sure about doing addition to check your logic. Seems to me that if your logic wasn't working, you wouldn't know whether or not you were doing the addition correctly, so I don't think it would really tell you anything.

Not sure about that. It kinda seems to me that if you're thinking clearly enough to want to test your logic, then you must be thinking pretty logically -- but I'm not aware of any way to test it. Anyone else?
