dream signs i saw but didnt become lucid

      hi,im new to the boards,
last night i had a dream where there was another person beside me,he said
"look you can do anything, this is a dream!" and he made light appear from his hands,he was jumping all over the place like 20 ft high etc.i remember noticing all this but didnt gain lucidity,i must have got distracted by his antics or something.ive seen alot of dream signs lately
i also had a ld befor,i realised i was dreaming and suddenly felt electricity surge through my body,it was an awesome feeling,i woke up after that because i must have filled with adrenaline fast but it was awesome. also in some of my dreams i have people tell me im dreaming alot, anyone else ever told their dreaming in a dream?
maybe the ultimate dream is when we wake up after death to realise it was a dream.

      Welcome to the forum!
Many of us struggle w/that, & all you have to do is try again, that is all there is to it!
When people get excited in a LD, they tend to wake up. Just try to remain calm!
And the answer to that is yes, it has happened, but I already knew what was going on!

Hi, welcome to the baord...i've never actually had someone tell me i'm dreaming, although i'll never forget the biscuit tin my brother gave me in a dream that said 'open to lucidity' and i failed to read the meaning behind it!
I often miss dreamsigns, or realise i'm dreaming but can do nothing about it...

IrishCream--I am the same way. I only just recently had a dream when I finally realized to do a reality check. Let's see how long it will take to get another

I was thinking of ways to impress on your conscious to help remember to look for dreamsigns and do reality checks. I thought of drawing out dream scenarios on paper and me saying to self 'reality check'. I figure if I draw--it will make an impression on my mind. I also thought about writing. When I write poems and my short stories, they make important impressions to me. Maybe write a story about you achieving your goals in your dreams. Maybe write a poem about it.

I hope this helps you and rafterman and anyone else

Heh. Its a funny thing about lucid dreaming when it comes to me. I usually end up having to convince the dream characters around me that I'm lucid. I'd suppose that has a reflection of waking life, cause I always feel that people don't really understand what I mean by lucid dreaming when I tell them I can do it. I usually end up having to explain it to them in depth, which is why I probably have the same scenario unfold while lucid. The main (and more positive) difference between the two, is that when I'm awake, I can only explain to someone what lucid dreaming is, when I'm dreaming, I can prove my lucidity by jumping into the air and flying around the yard for a little while. 8)

Take That you skeptical dream people!
