      What are WIlds?

I see a lot of talk about wilds and being wild. What does this stand for?

WILD is the acronym for Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming. If you want more info, you can go to the tutorial section of this site. (sorry, I don't know how to link stuff )[/list]

To link stuff, 1st highlight the URL & copy it. Then paste it into your post. After doing all of that, highlight it, & click on the URL Button (it is the bottom button), then click submit. Here is one example: http://dreaminofgamin.bravehost.com (don't worry, this is actually my website, so I won't get into trouble for posting my own website )

Actually WILD stands for Wake Inititated Lucid Dream. It's one of the two ways a lucid dream can begin. Another one is DILD = Dream Initiated Lucid Dream. In DILD you become aware of the dream while dreaming. In WILD you fall asleep consciously and are immediately in a lucid dream. WILDs are often considered to be better quality LDs because you don't lose your consciousness before getting into dream.

And yes, there are a couple of tutorials for WILD. I hope this clarified a bit.

Yes, there are basically two ways for how a lucid dream can begin. How to become aware of a dream? You can either be in a dream first, and then become aware of it (DILD) or you can be aware first and then drift into a dream (WILD). I can't imagine any other ways for a lucid dream to begin.

Indeed there are several techniques for attaining lucidity, like MILD, Relity Checking, WBTB, VILD etc, but they all aim for either WILD or DILD. Besides WILD is a bit tricky as it's the other way an LD can begin, but is also considered a technique for falling asleep consciously.
