      Hi to Everyone

Hey, everyone. I'm Carlotta, or Carlie when I'm feeling like it, and I'm really excited to find these forums. When I was younger, I think I was something of a lucid dreamer. I'd realize I was dreaming, then go up to random people and say things like, "I'm dreaming, aren't I? Come on, tell me I'm dreaming!" I was never exactly subtle, and people usually just told me no.

I remember all my siblings and I would tell each other dreams on long car rides and such, and we've all always had an excellent memory for them. As we grew up, though, we stopped doing it, and it's only in finding Dreamviews that I've started thinking about my dreams again. I found the site Thursday, and since then my dreams have been very interesting: In the first, I had a FA and wrote down in a journal what I'd just dreamt, before veering off into a completely different dream. In the second, I achieved enough control to stop these weird skeleton guys chasing me, although I slipped back into the dream after that, only in completely different circumstances. (You'd think I'd have stopped dreaming about weird skeleton guys by now, but it doesn't always work that way. )

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to everyone, and tell you a little about my dream experiences. If you want to know any more about me, just check out my profile or PM me. I'll be happy to talk.

Hey Carlie! Welcome to the community! U'll really enjoy ur time here

I meet two good friends of mine each morning and we go to school together. Every morning Im telling them about the dreams I had last night or that morning and if they remember theirs (they're not into LDing, but they do ocassionally remember dreams) they tell their own and we always laugh about them and discuss their meanings. Its really fun.

I find that Dream Journalling is not only very useful to increasing my recall but it's really fun sometimes as my dreams tend to be very incoherent, which makes me laugh all the time. The more you record your dreams, the easier it is to realize ur dreaming. I've had spontaneous LDs thanx to recurrent dream themes. DJing is very important cuz it helps you get to know your dream world.

      Response to Greeting

Thanks to everyone who responded! I know who to PM incase I'm ever in need of some help.

By the way, for those of you who LD regularly, how long did it take you to get to get to that stage? (I'm just asking this while I have a thread to ask it in, LOL.)
