      Was i lucid?

      Hi everyone,

Im quite new to lucid dreaming and have never had a lucid dream before, but i am trying to achieve lucidity however this morning(i believe it was morning) i was awake or very lightly asleep after i woke up and closed my eyes and tried to get back into a dream, im not sure if it worked but i had a dream where i could see everything like a regular dream only for some reason it was in 3rd person and i could make the person i was watching do things like walk in certain directions but thinking about it and then all of the sudden when i did something i realized i felt nothing while doing it and woke up.

I realize this explanation is quite messy but it is very hard to explain and i want to know if that was a lucid dream or a beginning of it so please if you have questions ask them.

      Thanks already everyone.

Well, that depends: did you know it was a dream?

Well, if you are not sure whether or not you were aware that you were dreaming then I would say that you were almost lucid but not quite. Lucid means that you know that you are dreaming, so if you are not sure then that's not quite lucid.

I agree, it seems like it wasn't a lucie dream. Keep in mind that sometimes, you can be lucid without control, and sometimes you can have excellent control yet not know it's a dream. In your case, it looks like the latter. Don't worry though, just keep up your dedication and effort and soon enough you will be certainly lucid. Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
