      Lucid is being aware.. right?

      Hi!! Yay for first post!!

I stumbled upon this cool site while surfing guess what? Male birth control pills! How that is connected I have no idea! But I'm here nevertheless..

So getting to my point... My understanding of lucid dreaming means being aware that you are in a dream correct?

If this is the case then i have definitely been lucid.. and at times even manage to control my dreams and told myself what i wanted to happen!!

I had a book about dreams but it never really explain what was lucid dreaming... and thanks to this site now i fully understand..

i also get alot of deja vus... i would dream of something.. then later on in my waking life finding myself in the same exact situation!! including colors, characters and even the dialogue!!

      so thats all for now!

You're lucky to remember such beautiful dreams! I'm sure you'll have more while you're here.

If you're 'into' reading, you might want to try some of LaBerge's work. I think that \"exploring the world of lucid dreaming\" is considered a good resource.

That must've been really weird. I've never really had this feeling myself, but I've heard it several times on the forums. I think that if you use the search function, you'll come up with some interesting threads.

Hope you'll stay here for a long time!

      Welcome to the forum!

Jesus Deere...take apart a post much? lol

So wait...there are male birth control pils? Sweet. Anyways, that's great that you have had lucid dreams before. Did they feel like you were really and truly present in them, like as if it was real life? Those high level lucid ones that are like hyper-real are my favorite, as simple as they are at times.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me or any other Dream Guide.

yup go to howstuffworks.com, my screensaver shows me topics from that site.. and when I happened to look it was about male birth control pills, which went to signals on brains, to things brains do, to chemicals released during different activities, then i think it went to sleeping.. then finally dreaming!

most of my dreams are always clear and feels incredibly real though I know that it's just a dream! I remember most of my dreams, even from ages ago without writing them down.. to the exact detail...

I thought this was pretty normal.. because remembering back when I was 6 or 7 years old, I would usually induce a falling dream.. its one of my favourites because when I land, I feel no pain, and the floor kinda bounces matrix style!! Sometimes its so intense i would feel my body jerk after hitting the ground then I'd be woken up!! But i quickly go back to the dream and dream something else.. I never thought it was something special..

I've also had sleep paralysis... I am completely awake but unable to move as if somebody was there... I couldn't shout nor speak, and I'd wake up breathing really fast!

Just the other day, i was having a dream, I think i was going on a killing rampage or something (i know evil huh!) and i kinda woke up halfway, and felt myself breathing fast! Managed to go back to the dream though and finish it! hehe

sorry this has been so long! ive got so much more to tell!!

Hey that's awesome! You should start a dream journal here so that you can share your dreams with everyone on the forum (if you like). It's alot of fun too getting feedback from people

In a non lucid dream, you are not aware you are dreaming. You might control things, ie, you might decide to walk into a dreamshop and buy something. But you're not making the conscious decision to go into that shop. It's like a part of the script.
In a lucid dream, you are aware you are dreaming, you get a moment where you go 'i'm dreaming' and then you can decide what it is you want to do, and know it's a conscious decision.
Have you read about dreamsigns? Those events within a dream that recur and make you realise you are dreaming?
      Hope this helps!
PM me or another dreamguide if you have any questions.
