I am new DV but not so new to attempting to LD. I've been trying on and off for about two years and always find that when I am disciplined and enthusiastic about lucid dreaming, I seem to have no trouble achieving one. I just cant seem to keep focused for any extended period. Hence why I am here, immersing myself in the culture in the hope that it will be on the fore front of my mind more often and I will be less likely to lapse.

I started writing in a DJ again about three weeks ago after a 6 month hiatus and already I have gone from recalling one dream every couple of night to two or three per night. In that time I have had one short, but super vivid LD, at least two where I realised I was dreaming but convinced myself otherwise, an awesome flying dream and plenty of others that should have triggered lucidity.

I have been attempting DILD and WILD. I haven't had a lot of success with DILD as I don't perform reality checks as frequent as I should, but I will persist. I have however had some luck with WILD after a WBTB. I have been able to get into a bit of a routine with waking up around the same time in the mornings and find that if I am able to drag my arse out of bed for five or ten minutes to focus, this is when my most vivid dreams occur.
