Am I a psychic?

Ok, so I'm new this forum, and I wasn't sure on where to post this, but I was in need of somewhere to get help from others that this has happened to, And possibly some answers? Just so you know, this has happened about 3 different times. The first time, and possibly the craziest time: One night, the day right before my 7-10th birthday (I can't remember), I had a dream about my mom walking in to my room, waking me up, and saying she got me this movie for my birthday (Little Monsters). She explained the main parts of the movie, and as soon as she left in the dream, I woke up. Now, you have to remember I have never, NEVER seen this movie before, nor have I ever heard about it before in my entire life. Anyway, what woke me up, was my door opening. It was my mom, and she gave me this movie saying it was for my birthday, (At this point I was like, "what?") and I pretty much sat through this whole, (distorted) version of my conversation with her again, compared to my dream. Surprise, surprise! The movie was EXACTLY how she explained it in my dream. And you have to remember that I have NEVER seen this movie before.

whoa...that's something cool. maybe you are psychic. hopefully you being in this forum, and reading up and doing stuff to control your mind might helps you improve on it. if it keeps happening, I would say definitely keep them posted. sounds pretty cool..

Welcome to DV, Gage! The best place to discuss such phenomena on this forum would be in this subforum: Beyond Dreaming - where we discuss dream related phenomena that have not been proven or explained by mainstream science (yet). However, having a thread in the introduction zone section right here is always a good idea too, giving us a chance to welcome you to the forum. Personally, I used to not believe in precognitive dreaming, or at least had no reason to believe it, until I dreamed two dreams that I was not comfortable dismissing as a coincidence after what happened later in waking life which was too close to my dreams (though not quite as close as yours). I do not believe that I am a psychic. What I believe though is that there are definitely things that happen in dreams that science does not yet have an adequate explanation for, and I believe that those things are probably way more frequent than we think, but since most people forget their dreams or do not pay enough attention to neither dreams nor waking life, so that's how come these phenomena get to be dismissed by many people. Also since it is hard to come up with a rational explanation, and many people are not comfortable with that, so they would rather deny that this kind of thing happens. And you have to remember that I have NEVER seen this movie before. i myself have had these experiences before and it truly is something strange occasionally mine would be so vivid and strong others a simply glimpse i remember this one time i was incredibly stuck on this level in a video game no matter how hard i tryed i continually failed i fell asleep and in my dream i saw myself passing the level and winning the next day i remembered this dream and i passed the level in the exact same way which was so amazing to me their have been other times where i have had these visions but my memory fails me for now
