I have had a few lucid dreams over the past year or so. In those lucid dreams, I was able to control them and surprisingly, for a decent amount of time at that. Usually I'd replay a scenario over and over again but eventually I'd faze out of it and wake up. I never purposely entered a lucid dream on my own accord; it was always unintentional. Like, it would just happen out of nowhere. Usually whenever I'd wake up in the morning, and fall back asleep about 15 minutes later.

I finally decided to do some research this evening on this weird "ability" I thought I had. Then, I stumbled across this page and was so relieved to know that others have these dreams as well! I also found out that there's a name to these dreams; Lucid. I also found out that you can induce them and learn how to better control them. Which really amazes me because this entire time I thought something was wrong/different with me. I haven't talked to anyone about these experiences because people will probably look at me like I'm weird or strange. So I've kept them to myself, and sometimes, my boyfriend. He looks at me like I'm making them up sometimes but I guess its not his fault. You will never understand unless you've had one yourself. I just love it how, regardless of how weird he thinks it is, he will still sit down and listen to them with an open mind.

I'm so glad I found this forum because now I understand that it's normal, and I'd definitely love to induce lucid dreams on my own now, instead of having them at random times without expecting them.

Anyways, I'm very excited to get to speak with others with the same experiences that I have had and always wondered about! I will start keeping a dream journal and I'm very interested to learn about yall's experiences as well
