      Is this lucid dreaming?

      Hi everyone,
I hope I don't get ridiculed for being stupid for this. I have been having dreams before I am fully asleep where I know I am dreaming. The dreams are weird because it's like I'm watching mundane activities in other people's lives. These are people I don't know washing the dishes or having dinner or things like that. I am a little bit psychic and thought maybe I was seeing things that were actually happening. I don't drink or do drugs. I appreciate any input you can give into this.

Experiences that people have before they are fully asleep are usually described as 'hypnogogic ' which seems to be a distinct stage of consciousness.
However I have had several strange dream experiences myself and would not dismiss the idea that it is some kind of ESP or other psychic effect .I dont know of any way you could test this out but there are some very knowledgable people here that know much more about this than me .good luck with exploring this .

Okay, the key thing with a lucid dream is to recognise that you are dreaming...
Sounds like you have the problem i often have. Being fully aware that you are dreaming, but being unable to do anything about it...
Have you tried reading some of the posts in the dream control section? You may find something in there to help you out.
