Thread: Hello I am new

I want very much to do this lucid dreaming. I was listening to George Noory show about it. The reason, which I haven't seen/heard mentioned, is so I can get with a guy or two in my dream. I often dream about a guy from elementary school. I am 37. I want to get together with him in my dream. I also sometimes dream about a guy I had a crush on a few years ago. But we never do anything. It's like real life. Is it my subconscious asserting my morality? We are both married. He is happily married. Sometimes his wife appears in my dream. I hate that.
Please help.
Yes, I have read the beginner's info.
I will start doing reality checks and keeping a journal and such.

Sometimes, the dreams you have, are just the mind's way of 'assessing' different scenarios in a 'safe' environment, if you will.
You know you can't get with this guy, so your mind presents you with a setting where he appears in your dream.
There are different viewpoints with regard to morality in lucid dreams...some would say it's utterly wrong to have sex or relations with someone unsuitable in life, in a lucid dream.
I personally disagree. Because, at the end of the day, it's still only a dream, albeit one you are controlling. But dreams don't cross over into real life like that...if you sleep with a man in a dream, you're not going to have slept with him in real life..it's only a fantasy, that you are indulging in, in the private of your own mind...
That's my thought on it.
