      Hi...

So i'm not good with titles. Anyways, I stumbled onto this site today and started reading some peoples dreams they have logged and thought about how awesome it would be to remember more than just 2 or 3 dreams every 1 or 2 months.

There are only 2 dreams that are carved into my mind, one was about fear from the Crypt Keeper ( from Tales from the Crypt ) and another one about me doing a big parabolic front flip down some stairs at one of my old houses.

I havn't been able to control any of my dreams yet ( i've tried before finding that you can ), but I can willfully wake up when I want to, not a false waking up.

I think being able to control your dreams and make them work how you want would be an awesome experience. Even though when I first thought of people gathering to talk about techniques and stuff about Lucid Dreaming, I was laughing because I thought it was stupid. But just realizing how useful this skill/ability would be to have ( not to mention adventurous ) made me join this forum and try my hand at Lucid Dreaming.

Just wanted to say hi really and give some small background information about me and dreaming the way " we " try to dream.

      Hi there!

It's true that you need a good dream recall before you can really have lucid dreams. There's some things you should try if you can't remember any of your dreams. However, first you need to have enough sleep - 8 hours a day is quite a good amount.

When you're going to sleep at night, concentrate on your intention to remember your dreams in the morning. Tell yourself that "I will have dreams tonight. I will remember my dreams in the morning".

When you wake up you shouldn't get up immediately. Instead stay still in your bed for some minutes trying to remember your dreams. If you still can't recall anything, try concentrating on how you feel at the moment. Sometimes it might trigger you to remember the dream you just woke up from.

And the most important one is to have a dream journal where you write down everything you can remember in the morning. You need to write it immediately when you wake up, and you really need to write whatever you remember, no matter how unimportant it might feel. Keeping a dream journal will help you to improve your recall.

      I hope this helps.
