So, I've had dreams where I was aware I was dreaming and dreams where I could control what was going on, but never really at the same time. I read about lucid dreaming and decided that the next time I realized I was dreaming, I'd get control and do stuff. Must have been a couple of weeks later when I had a dream that I was getting married, but there was no groom. I figured I was probably dreaming and confirmed it through a RC. So, as I was leaving I changed my clothes from a wedding dress to shorts and a t-shirt just by willing it. But the dream started fading, and I didn't remember to spin, so I just gave up. First question- Is that a good start for a beginning lucid dreamer?

The next night, after becoming thoroughly excited about lucid dreaming and deciding to actually do stuff to get better, I had a dream where I got in a fender-bender, and I suspected it was a dream. However, I did a couple of RCs that all passed, so I figured I was actually awake. When I really woke up, I was kicking myself. Second question- How do I make sure reality checks give me the true answer? I've been practicing them throughout the day... is it just something that becomes easier through experience?

Anyway, thanks for the help- I'm looking forward to having a lasting lucid dream soon.
