      A simple "Hello"

Hello everyone, this is my first post. I've had a lot of experience with forums though, so I think I'll probably fit right in. My name is Michael and I've had the pleasure of living for 17 years, (I turned 17 just three days ago ) . I decided to join this community because it seems very kind and welcoming. Also, it's the first place I've seen where people just talk about their dreams. I know a little about Lucid Dreams, I've read all the Dream Views articles. I've also checked out some other sites on the subject. It really is an interesting ability, being able to control your own dreams. I envy those that can do it automaticly. Well this is an introduction thread, but I suppose I could ask one question while I'm at it. How does one get thmrself to reality check in a dream? Do you simply do it so often, such as when you wake up, that it becomes second nature? I never really pick up on any dream signs because they're all so subtle. I never experience anything like flying or pink elephants, mostly it's just situations I wouldn't get into. I guess that's enough of an introduction, I'm sure you all dont want me putting a whole biography into this post.

      Hey! Welcome to the forum!!
To answer that, I reality check, even in real life!
And don't worry about getting in trouble from a biography post.....no one minds if you do that!

Hello Vallian, and welcome to Dream Views!

You got it right about reality checking. The main idea is to make it a habit so that it would carry out in your dreams too. Having a thought on dream signs is a good boost, but you can get along without them too.
Don't think about those damn kangaroos.
