Just introducing myself!

I'm a non-native New Yorker who is getting in to this LD thing. I have horrible dream recall. I don't sleep very well at all at night, because of the stress my job was putting on me. As such I don't remember much about my dreams. I have started dream journaling and when I do it first thing in the morning, I find that it has a massive difference in my ability to be present in my dreams the next night.

I have had one or two moments of real lucidity. For me, because of my bad dream recall, my dreams are usually in black and white. In fact I don't remember them ever really being in color growing up. But when I was able to attain the starts of lucidty (for all of like 45 seconds), it was like a massive technicolor explosion and I had complete awareness and control. It was unlike anything I have ever seen before. SO I know it is possible but I really need to work on the dream recall first I think.

My girlfriend is the exact opposite. I think she is a natural lucid dreamer, and seems to naturally and regularly, without knowing it or having a word for it, be able to Dream Exit and re-induce to finish dreams. She does it at least 4-5 times a week, and it can get pretty intense trying to get her out of bed in the morning, because she wants to finish her dreams. I would love to get her onboard with learning how to control them and use them for her naturally creative mind.

I started a few months ago in earnest on the World-of-Lucid Dreaming site, and found this site through the podcasts on podbay. It was actually very interesting, just listening to the podcasts while falling asleep actually made my dreams really long and intense last night, for the first time in a really long time. I guess just being open and thinking about the world of lucid dreaming has some effect.

So thats a long winded introduction,

Hope to hear from some others who are on the journey!
