      Welcome to the forum!
Try keeping a DJ! It should help not only your recall, but LDing as well!

      Welcome to DreamViews Adam

Try keeping a journal by your bed, then the moment you wake up, write anything down that you remember at all: images, colors, shapes, or even just emotions. See what that does for you.

Good luck and keep us posted

      I'll add my welcome, Adam!

In addition to what the other posters have said, I would suggest that when you are lying in bed trying to sleep, you repeat to yourself (silently, if you wish), "I will awaken after I dream, and I will remember the dream". This usually helps me to recall my dreams in more detail.
