      Yet another newbie

Hey all, I have read the site and a lot of the posts here on the forum, and am just not starting to get an interest into lucid dreaming. I guess my first question would be, typically how long did it take for each of you to be able to recall your dreams, then finally become lucid? I have read it is different from person to person. thanks for any info.

      Welcome to the forum!
The answer to that differs from person to person. In my favor, I was able to become Lucid at age 3, & even today, I can still recall some of them. I am sure there are many that have their different abilities.
You don't have to recall dreams in order for them to be considered Lucid BTW. You just have to know you are dreaming inside the dream.

thanks nesgirl, this is something that i find very interesting, and plan to do a lot of reading on. seems that you are a natural at lucid dreaming. just out of curiousity, a) what is the status of lucid dream mentors (i forgot the exact term this site uses) to help beginners get lucid, and B) do you think in 10 - 20 years, lucid dreams will become an every night occurance for the general populus?

      dont give up

Hey there, I go by "my_reflection" based on my first lucid experience. Like you, I also joined this site just today. Last night I had a lucid dream. That has never happened before. I wasn't trying to do anything to induce it. Infact I didn't even know what it was or that it was possible. I got on-line and looked up conscious dreaming to learn more about what I had experienced and I came across this site. I read the entire site and am absolutely fasinated. I can't wait to put what I have learned into practice. I am hopeful that I will take to lucid dreaming quite easily. I guess we will see. I posted my first experience and tittled it coverted sceptic, if you would like to read it. good luck with your endeavour and don't give up because even though it has only happened to me once so far, it's enough for me to know with 100% that IT IS REAL.

      Recall and lucid timeline.

      Hey there, welcome!

Before I joined I recalled dreams periodically, say one or two a month. I even had a couple lucid dreams (although at the time I did not recognize them as such.) Now, since I began journaling and really thinking about dreams, I remember dreams at the average of four days a week. Of these, three have been lucid.
      Dream well,
      Joe
