Confused about some more stuff...

I've recently not been keeping a dream journal but I would set my alarm for maybe 5 hours or so after I go to bed and so far have been able to remember them fairly wel, but i'm still confused. I'f im in a dream how will i know to do a reality check, do I already have to be aware im dreaming or would it just happen by chance that that is what I will do in my dream and then this will make me suddenly aware.. And once I actually realize I am dreaming how vivid are the sights and sounds and moving around, what does it feel like etc.. Can you actually in a way have a sense of touch and smell. Sorry if these are repeated questions, and I guess the only way I'll know for sure what it's like is to actually expierience one...I'm just curious. Thanks again.

hey there, those are good questions. The only reason you do not become Lucid in dreams is beacse your mind thinks the situation is real. If you perform reality checks durring the day, then it will soon beocme a habbit for you. In your dream, this habbit will cross over and you will perfrom a reality check. Then you will realize that it is not real, but your own dream! Once you become Lucid, the dream world looks and feels and smells and taste just like this world. Its so amazing just to lok aroudn even to see hwo detialed everythign is ( its a wonder how much information your brain has) Sometimes the dream can feel even more real than real life. there is this sence that you are connected to everything and the sights and sounds reach right into your emotial and intulecutal "heart" So every htign is bright and clear and amazing in those types of dreams.
