      some advice if you will

hi, first post, good to meet you all.

      firstly some history.

i am 19 years old, ive been having lucid dreams since i was about 10, but latly, last 4 years ive been getting them a lot, about 6 months ago i started to try and seriously control them and have been having quite a bit of sucess. have also been able to strecth time in dreams (anyone experienced that?)

last night i had one and had a false awakening, so i lost control. when i woke i decided to try and force a lucid dream, (never tried it before) and i started with a daydream i was in full control of and started slipping deeper asleep while keeping control,
it worked to a degree, and i was able to call up buildings and people i knew at will.
after about 3 days (talking dream time here, couldnt have been more than 2 hours r/t) i had a false awakening and lost control, (i know this because i can remember the rest just couldnt control it.)

has anyone had anything similar? any advice etc?

      thanks in advance
      -Tan

Welcome to the forums, Good to see you already have lots of experience with lucid dreams.

Ive had false awakenings in the past, sometimes over 6 in a row after realising it was a FA then becoming lucid, then having another FA etc. As far as advice goes ive read that its always useful to do a reality check the second you wake up... Although if your into journaling your dreams this can be a problem as you need to begin writing them down as soon as you wake.

The choice is yours, good luck!

How long do you sleep? beacse you woudl have to be asleep for liek 18 hours ot end up having 2 hour dreams haha. REM cycles are very sequenctial in how long they beocme as the night goes on
