Ok, I've got a few questions

I've always been able to remember my dreams pretty easily. At least 1-2 per night is common place. I've never thought of having a dream journal, and a lot of times I realized I was dreaming, but I would usually wake up shortly after. I didn't know about Lucid dreaming or techniques to stay in the dream. Yesterday I ran across your site after googling Lucid dreams and found all the info very good! I of course, like everyone else on this site, wanted to experience a lucid dream where I could actually consciously walk around in my dream world and see what was happening and see if I could control it. I was so excited to have a lucid dream that everytime during the night that I was about to have a dream, or at least when I realized I was dreaming I would abruptly wake up. I figured this was normal. By about 6am I was tired and I actually started having a dream. For part of the dream I didn't know I was dreaming, or at least consciously didn't know. Then it got to a part where there were a load of spiders, which I think is probably one of my dreamsigns as I often have dreams of hundreds of spiders all around me, and right after the spiders I was standing in front of the house I grew up in. At this point I consciously said to myself, "How Convenient" because my parents sold that house a couple years ago. So at that point I told myself I was dreaming. I started to get very excited because I knew I was dreaming, but I was in control of myself. I nearly woke up due to the excitement. I managed to calm myself down and amazingly enough I did a reality check by trying to push on the palm of my hand. My hand went right through, and then I knew I was actually dreaming. I was afraid of losing the dream so I immediately started rubbing my hands together and turning in circles. Then I got even more excited and decided I wanted to explore a little. I went into the house and I knew that my bedroom was down in the basement of the house. So I headed straight down there. I was turning on lights and they actually worked I expected them to not work. Anyway, I got to my bedroom and wished a beautiful girl were on my bed. When I looked at the bed it was empty, I was of course disappointed and so I decided I would look away and then look back. At this point when I looked away from the bed the dream started to fade out and I woke from sleep, but with a big grin on my face. It was an incredible experience, however this brings me to my first question.....

Is it possible that I was only dreaming about lucid dreaming? I normally have dreams that are pretty vivid and I can remember them days afterwards so I didn't think that lucid dreaming would be too hard for me once I figured out my dreamsigns. However after this experience I started wondering if it were a real lucid dream, or just a very vivid dream that my brain made me think was lucid since I wanted it so bad.

Second question is about dream spinning. When you spin, do you spin in first person so you see your surroundings spinning, or do you picture yourself in third person spinning and then jump back to first person after the dream is more lucid? I turned in circles as fast as I could in my dream, but I felt like I was merely turning in circles rather than spinning. I half expected my surroundings to change after I turned in circles, but it stayed the same. Which was okay with me. But that made me think I did it wrong.

Thanks for this site and thanks in advance for answering my questions. Lucid dreaming rocks!
