Hi and welcome to DV, |

The first thing to remember once you become lucid is not to get too excited. If you do, there's a good chance you'll wake up. Just keep yourself calm and try some of the dream-controlling techniques to keep it from fading. I find spinning around on my axis and rubbing my hands together is usually enough to keep me in the dream and increase the clarity of my vision. |

The dream is still in my head
I heave a sigh and sadly smile
And lie a while in bed
I wish that it might come to pass
Not fade like all my dreams” —Rush
Rev has the right idea. Also when you realize you are dreaming, pay attention to small detials. Go over your whole scene and look at every small detial. Make it your mission to analize and study your envrionment beofre you do anything. This will keep out calm and grounded. |
