      Lucid Dream Vs. OBE

What is the difference between a lucid dream and an OBE? I read in one book about lucid dreams that lucid dreaming is for the most part mimicked off of our fantasies and what our subconscious dreams up, so to speak; and that if a person has an OBE of "flying" through, or being in a various place in his astral body, that he's actually there, seeing everything as is - through his astral eyes. So, what's the essential difference between the two terms, and how much of this is really true?

Lucid dreaming is when you are in a dream and are aware of that fact. From that point on you can control your dreams while you are aware that nothing is real. This has been scientifically proven and accepted by the science community.

OBE's is the phenomenon where people belvie that you leave your body in your dream and enter an astral plane it also opens up the possibility to connect with others on the astral plane (Oh god I cannot belvie im righting this) there is no hard evidence that this is possible.

In my (and the scientific community's) belief, only Lucid Dreams exist. OBEs do not exist because they do not make scientific sense, and is spiritual, religious in a form...
