      Introduction - First time luciddreamer

Thanks to Rakkantekimusouka for the welcome-pm.

I wasn't planning to start posting on this forum yet, as im in a busy place in my life. School, looking for a job and moving away from the parents. But since i believe i had my first lucid (or semi-lucid) dream, i might as well tell about it when my memory is fresh.

First i should introduce myself. Just turned 24 ( yes, still living with my parents) and i live in Sweden, Trollhättan. Male, but i believe that shows in the left under the avatar. Recently got into this lucidity stuff, and have been trying ever since. Bought 2 books about it, one completely useless (Dreaming while awake - Arnold Mindell) and one that's been very helpful and interesting (Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming - Stephen LaBerge & Howard Rheingold). I just started writing in my Dreamjournal but stopped because lack of motivation, and i had a tendency to forget my dreams since i didn't write them down when i woke up.

It's not the first dreamjournal though, i've got a .doc file on my external with several dreams, including some long ones. I've also discovered my first (i believe) dreamsigns, The sky!

Which leads me to the lucid dream i had just two hours ago. I was tired since i fell asleep late and woke up early. I ate some breakfast while watching an episode of Stargate SG-1, but since I wasn't feeling too well, and was still very tired so i laid down in the couch and eventually fell asleep. I was dreaming i was looking out through the kitchen window, still lying in my bed, and the sky was beautiful, and the sun was setting (right word?). I saw an helicopter, probably armed, flying by. The sky was really beautiful, and my mom was in the kitchen making soup (that part was true, as i ate it later), and i tried to call out to her, to come and watch. Strangely i couldn't move my lips, and i realized i couldnt move my body at all. The sky changed, from sunset to night, and i could see all the stars very clearly, although they were blurry. I called out again, but i still couldn't move. I realized i was half-asleep, and when i was about to wake up, i could start to fall asleep, by snoring and i was "lucid again". Then the stars started moving, as if time moved very fast, and earth rotated around it axis. At some point i "realized i was dreaming" and started waking up, i tried to fall asleep again, but it was useless.

I dont know if i was dreaming that i was having a lucid dream, or if it was semi-lucid, couldn't tell the difference, could anyone help me out?

Hey there and Welcome to Dream Views. That sounds like a semi Lucid Dream to me. There really is no such thing as dreaming you were Lucid, and being Lucid. After all you become Lucid in your Dreams, and if you know you were dreaming in a dream then you were Lucid. So good Luck with continuing your efforts. LaBurge's books are very helpful and fun to read.
