      Concerned Dreams

Hey, I am new to these forums, but you guys look like you could provide the best insight. Thanks in advanced.

My dreams, are a bit awkward, to say the rest. Sometimes I will wake up one morning and feel extremely despressed, or extremely angry, and not even know why. I do however, during the day, begin to remember parts of my dreams, and in turn, I have pieced together that my dreams influence my personality/attitude for the entire day. I do not know if this is normal, but it's have a dramatic negative effect on me, and those around me.

As well, my dreams seem to be always deep, horrific personal hell-like realities. The things I find most repelling, I seem to dream them all. My dreams have nothing to do with what I experience during the day, obviously, because there is no connection, whatsoever. I am not overly concerned, but I just do not want my dreams to escalate to another level, where it becomes almost frightening to go to sleep.

      Hi, welcome to the board.
I have a theory that dreams are often a manifestation of what's bothering us deep in our subconscious.
So, you could be worrying about something on a deep level, and your dreams could be showing you that, in a roundabout way.
have you tried thinking like that? Asking yourself why you are having these dreams? Chances are, if that is the case, when you start dealing with whatever is bothering you the dreams will stop.
Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions.

      Thanks for the reply.
You mentioned that may dreams may reflect what's bothering me, deep inside but a lot of my dreams have actually nothing to do with me or any of my thoughts, but are just disturbing in general.
As well, I do not understand why this began so recently. I mean, everyone has deep issues, and I have always had them, but why have my dreams started to reflect this all of a sudden. I began having these dreams about half a year ago. And if they are a relfection of what is inside of us, how come I have never heard of anyone else having them the way I do.

I think everyone has dreams like this, but they just don't talk about it the way we do on here...i've often had phases of dreams like that, but as i said before, it's usually when i've been under a period of stress in my life.
I still definitely believe that dreams can be a way of resolving issues under the surface, the imagery you see may not appear to be connected to how you are feeling in waking life at all, and i think that's where the gift of interpretation comes in.
What about if you post one of your dreams in the interpretation section, and see if anyone is able to help?

Simply because you do not sense some concerns consciously doesn't mean they don't exist.
However, in my opinion, dreams don't necessarily always reflect concerns. They may reflect just plain...interests or even just some not-so-random thoughts and concepts. Meaning that a dream, as I see it, can take a concept and evolve it for not much reason than to simply make something out of it, perhaps some deductions, perhaps something else.

On the other hand if you see a pattern in your dreams then deducing from the above said I would say that it's the consequence of one of the two: concerns or coincidences. Coincidences meaning that your dreams are merely like that because of some concepts that evolve to such dreams in your mind. Logically reasoning, both variations are possible, it would seem.
