I'm new here and have issues in my dreams

Hello all, I seem to have a problem with making things scare me in my dreams. I will say to myself "Ok, I know that the Exorcist girl is going to appear 2 inches away from me, but I hope it doesn't", and it does.

By the way, I have only achieved Lucid dream status once, and then I tested it by moving my hand in front of my face. After that I tried to walk and physically moved my leg.... which made me wake up.

Why do I tend to scare myself in my dreams??? Why does my brain work against me??!!! Grr!

By the way, does anyone ever have a problem with getting lucid and then falsely waking up into Old Hag Syndrome?

      Welcome!

I don't know why you scare yourself, but just keep working on your lucid dreaming and have fun with it!

When she is cleaned up, Linda Blair(the exorcist girl) is kind of cute!
Maybe you can buy her dinner

hi Athena, just to clear something up, everyone has dreams every night, but some people just forget about them as soon as they wake up. these people usually think they don't dream...but like seeker asked do you keep a dream journal? that would really help.

      Dream Journal

no, and i guess it was stupid of me not to think of it . ill try that and see if my dreaming improves. thanks for the advice.
There is no point in worrying. If there is something you can do about a problem, then there is no need to worry. If there is nothing you can do, there is also no reason to worry.

I am trying to keep a dream journal too, but the thing is somtimes I lie in bed after I wake up, trying to remember what it is I dreamt the night before, at least the last dream. For example two days ago I kept waking up and falling back asleep, which made me have many dreams. The problem is I dont remember much of any of them, just bits and pieces.

For example I remember going to a mall and finding a friend on some sort of pesdestal, standing there really happy. You see, the day before he won a car there(in actuality), so he was standing there celebreting. The pedestal part was because, in my dream, in order to actaully get the car he had to stand there for 6 hours.

The next thing I remember was being in my house getting the stuff I always get in order to go out(wallet, keys, cell phone, etc). I don't remember if this happened first or later, but then again I don't remember anything in between.

What could help me recall my dreams when this sort of thing happens?
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

I think it just takes practice. Write down everything possible, and hopefully your recall will be trained. WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING, i mean EVERYTHING.

Yes, a dream journal really helps. I used to not be able to remember any dream at all. Then I found out about lucid dreaming and started to keep a journal. Now I remember at least one dream per night.
