      day dreams

A few days ago, I was lying awake in bed at about 10 o clock in the morning, I had no reason to get up so i just lay their day dreaming.

Then something wierd happened, usually when I day dream my concious imagination controls it, but my sub-consious seemed to take over, it was like watching a non-lucid dream, but I was still awake.I felt like it wasn't my dream and I could still roll over and move around.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Sounds to me like it was just a really in-depth day-dream. I bet most day dreamers are just using it as a distraction, but if you're just hanging out it can probably get pretty crazy like that. But that's just what I think. Welcome by the way.

Thanks for the welcome, your probably right about the in-depth day dream thing. It deserves a proper name. Maybe non-lucid daydream

Yeah, it's happened to me a few times before in school. I just get toally absorbed into whatever I'm daydreaming about.

hey there. I have day dreams like you do. IN fact I recommend people to day dream just how you did as LD practice. Its helps one get more in tune with dream scenes while being able to control them.

Oh, actually no, I when I found it I hadn't had any, but I'd been looking into it for a few days. I thought "wow, I bet no one (relatively speaking) even knows about this stuff"

Barbizzle: Thanks for the advice, I will do it again if I work out how I did it in the first place. Do you know if it actually has a name?

Enigma: I know what you mean now, I asked my friends and one of them said he could always control his dreams but he'd never heard of lucid dreams before. And another friend acused me of practicing magic .

Actually, i believe it is called "Image Streaming" Don't ask me how I know, but that just popped up in my head when I read your question. It may have been mentioned on Dv before. Look it up in search.

Thanks again, I tried it this morning and ended up sliping into a non-lucid dream . It was a very weird dream, I can't believe I didn't become lucid . Oh well, I still enjoyed the dream so it's not a total loss.
