      Intro + strange lucid dreaming

      Hello there

I just joined today and am excited to be part of forum that focuses and explores the concept of lucid dreaming so well. I actually came here from clicking on the Stumble! toolbar, which is an add-on to users of Firefox (web browser). I've always been interested in lucid dreaming, not only to uncover some truths and solve problems, but also for fun....because moogly, it is/sounds fun.

My interest began from recalling dreams and trying to find out what they meant. After that I purchased a dream dictionary, and the prologue or something introduced the concept of lucid dreaming.

I've read the information at the Dream Views main website, and one of the important elements to the process of lucid dreaming are the reality checks. I suspect that I have been kind of lucid dreaming because I've been able to control some of my actions and even read.

The strange part of it all is that I don't actually realise that I'm in a dream, but I'm able to control some of my actions anyway. Sometimes there is also a certain awareness of what is happening, but not being able to control it. Also, when repeated dreams are presented to me, for some reason things are being added onto it, and I feel like I have a choice to change occurances.

I know that's a whole lot to take in, and a lot of questions for a newbie- but I guess I just wanted to share some of my experiences and see if anyone else had something similar happen to them. Plus, I'd really like to know what actions I should take in order to perfect my dreaming. I do intend to start a dream journal, and I have written down some already.

Well, nice to be here. Thanks for reading too.

      Sweet dreams people...

p.s. Just in case you were wondering what my avatar says, "My fingers-ALIVE! And threatening me with- DEATH!"

      Hoi there.

Moogly is basically a friend made up, and I've discovered it's perfect for those moments where you don't know the exact word for something and can use it in it's place. Basically, it's a word that changes context constantly depending on how you use it. Hurrah.

Heya Blue. Welcome to Dream Views.

I love to hear the different ways people Stumbled onto this site. (No pun intended!)
I think you'll find many people here that have a lot of similar experiences. I've never had too much experience with recurring dreams, but there are quite a few people here that are pretty good with dream interpretation, in my opinion, so they might be able to help get you some answers. Make yourself comfortable and ask all the questions you like.

I'm sure you'll love this place just as much as the rest of us do.

      Ciao.
